This chain mail bracelet woven in a dainty offset double link pattern is loaded with pewter charms that depict Jane Austen’s beloved novels.

Great stories are always worth re-telling and I do so through my bracelets. For love of Jane, I wanted to create something that was both collectible and unique. I came up with the idea to blend the artistry of chain mail with Book Beads & charms! It took a few months to look for the perfect dangles, but I finally had enough for the collection. The result is an heirloom Chain Mail Charm Bracelet featuring the Jane Austen book bead collection.

STEP 1: WEAVE THE CHAIN MAIL Constructed of bright aluminum jump rings meticulously woven in a stacked double link pattern (I have the calluses to prove it), it is finished off with a matching filigree heart toggle closure. The Jane Austen Sparkling Elegance Chain Mail Charm Bracelet measures approximately 8 inches (197 mm) long, clasp to clasp and may be re-sized to fit your wrist (specify when you check out).

STEP 2: ADD CHARMS Joining the book beads are 18 lead-free pewter charms, depicting recurrent themes in Jane Austen’s books. This is the fun part as you get to pick & choose from the Jane Austen Regency Charm Collection (see link at bottom of page).  Need more charms? This option is available at check out.

Interspersed between the charms are pearlized barrel beads and faceted 10 mm AB crystal glass beads. Pearls were popular during the Regency period and used here, they “soften” the finished look, giving it a touch of elegance. The crystals reflect light in a rainbow of colors, adding sparkle to this chunky piece.

STEP 3: Add on (the optional) book beads. Strategically placed on either side of the chain are 6 hand made book beads featuring the novels of Jane Austen. The beads showcase historical fashion plates framed in floral patterns from the Regency period. Attached with a lobster claw clasp to the chain, it allows the wearer to change the order and remove/add book beads to their liking.

Because each book pendant is hand made, minor imperfections are part of its charm, and no two will be exactly alike. You will receive something very similar to the item pictured, but not exactly the item pictured. Please make allowances for artistic freedom and understand that slight variability in the pendants is to be expected. > Did you remember to list your charms? Refer to the table below for guidelines. For an 8.0" bracelet or smaller: select 12 (out of 30) charms to leave out.  For an 8.5" bracelet, you must add at least 2 charms; an 9.0" length needs 4 more and a 9.5-incher will require 6 more charms. Indicate your preferences at checkout. Allow a few days for your custom bracelet to be hand-woven and assembled.
