Introducing a LARGE clay mini book pendant that celebrates your choice of images! Use it as a pendant on a necklace, attached to a key chain or backpack (carabiner) clip. Either way, it's sure to turn heads!

Constructed of polymer clay, each double-sided book measures 1.25” L x 1” W x ¼” H (or 33 x 25 x 6 mm) approximately. Page ridge detail is etched on three sides of the mini-book. For the Fairy Tales sample the pages have been richly gilded in gold. Carefully burnished in both front & back is your choice of cover from your favorite book(s), sheet music, drawing, image (anything you can think of) etc.

What makes book beads unique is that the image is baked INTO the clay; there is no paper cover glued over clay. The mini book charm is then sealed, before repeatedly being glazed (minimum 3 coats) to a glossy finish, making them not only durable, but also water-resistant. It takes about 3 weeks, from start to finish, to complete a custom book bead. The result is a highly collectible pendant perfect for gift-giving!

Because each book bead is hand made, minor imperfections are part of its charm, and no two will be exactly alike. You will receive something very similar to the item pictured, but not exactly the item pictured. Please make allowances for artistic freedom and understand that slight variability in the pendants is to be expected. The split ring key chain is made of polished base metal. The carabiner clip is made of lightweight aluminum and is not engineered for climbing. Each clip measures approximately 2 inches (50 mm) long and is about 1 inch (25 mm) at its widest point. Color selection varies - you will receive whatever is in stock at the time of purchase.

If you prefer, I can attach a bail (your choice) to the pendant so you can slide it into a necklace. Thick leather cords are available for a **minor surcharge**. The cord is made of 100% dark brown cowhide leather (thickness at 4 mm diameter - one of the thickest in the market today; beware of substandard copies). Each necklace measures 41 cm long and is equipped with a 4.5 cm chain capable of extending its length to 45 cm. Each book is firmly attached to your choice of a pewter bail with a jump ring, ensuring it stays in place. A lobster claw clasp provides secure cord fastening at the neck.

Prefer a metal chain? A 20" 925 Sterling Silver (1 mm thick) snake chain can be requested at check out for a small surcharge. Bail #1, #4 or #9 is recommended for this chain. The large link chains (22" long) come in oblong (pliable), elliptical or round (sturdier) shapes. A military grade, stainless steel ball chain (24") is also available. Each book is firmly attached to your choice of a necklace with a pewter bail, lobster clasp or jump ring, ensuring it stays in place (choice will depend on necklace type).

o Choose your bail. Bails #1, #4 or #9 will not fit the thick leather cord due to their small openings. They are best suited for the Sterling silver snake chain.
