This necklace set (leather cord or chain) features The Wind in the Willows clay mini book in your choice of two sizes.

EYE-CATCHING

The leather cord is made of 100% brown cowhide leather (thickness at 4 mm diameter - one of the thickest in the market today; beware of substandard copies). Each necklace measures 41 cm long and is equipped with a 4.5 cm chain capable of extending its length to 45 cm. A lobster claw clasp provides secure cord fastening at the neck.

Prefer a metal chain? A 20" 925 Sterling Silver (1 mm thick) snake chain can be requested at check out for a small surcharge. Bail #1, #4 or #9 is recommended for this chain. The large link chains (22" long) come in oblong (pliable) elliptical or round (sturdier) shapes. A military grade, stainless steel ball chain (24") is also available. Each book is firmly attached to your choice of a necklace with a pewter bail, lobster clasp or jump ring, ensuring it stays in place (choice will depend on necklace type).

DURABLE

Constructed of polymer clay, each double-sided book bead measures about the size of a US quarter. Each double-sided book pendant is slightly larger than a US quarter dollar. Page ridge detail is etched on three sides of the mini-book. Carefully burnished on each is Kenneth Grahame's classic, with beautiful covers adapted from first editions of The Wind in the Willows. The custom mini book charms are then sealed, before repeatedly being glazed (minimum 2 coats) to a glossy finish. It takes about 3 weeks, from start to finish, to complete a custom book. With a built-in hole for a headpin, each bead pivots freely and is easily identifiable.

HANDMADE IN THE USA

Because each book pendant is hand made, minor imperfections are part of its charm, and no two will be exactly alike. You will receive something very similar to the item pictured, but not exactly the item pictured. Please make allowances for artistic freedom and understand that slight variability in the book beads is to be expected.
